A review of Halifax by James - Friday 2nd of July 2010
Halifax shut my local branch, I now have to commute all the way to SOUTHAMPTON in order to use my OWN bank, LOL.
No apologies, no compensation, no letter, no anything from the bank was given when they closed my local branch.
I'm 21, I'm physically and at least ably fit - I can get over to Southampton, (despite the ridiculous nature of having to drive 20 minutes). But the numerous OAP's and elderly people (in which the now halifax free town is pretty much made up of) that can no longer drive and that depended on that branch to sort out their finances and use on a regular basis are clearly going to be affected on a worse scale, I hope they all leave the bank and join Natwest, Barclays or HSBC that still opperate in Hythe, Southampton, The new forest.
Pathetic halifax, maybe less money spent on adverts featuring a fictional radio station, more money on supporting your customers. I will be leaving the bank within the next few weeks and I will be doing my DAMNEDEST to make sure I won't be the only one.
