"Daylight robbery"
A review of The White Swan by N.francis s.berrill - Sunday 9th of May 2010
Popped in to White Swan, Mansbridge, for a quick sunday bite. two main roasts, two kids meals, a drink each (with the exception of one adult diner having two SMALL glasses of rioja and not much change from £50. the meat was nice but measly. one yorkshire (lush, the best bit) small bit of stuffing that tasted like detergent. dried, sorry looking veg. roast potatoes very bad, greasy and not prepared properly. there was no crisp to them, nor fluffy inside. can someone please explain why pubs steal money by marking-up the soft drinks kids drinks? a small glass of draught coke/lemonade, £1.80 each. thats more than my tax'd half-pint of stella. the kids fish was very good, but the chips were bad and the peas like bullets. one bit of fish for £4.55?. just shy of £10 quid for two small glasses of wine. daylight robbery and underwhelmed with service. 2/10. why should we go back?
